Our DIY Maternity Photos

In April and May I was sad to close the doors to Elizabeth Hite Photography, but knew it was important to follow Oregon State regulations. I reopened in June with safety measures in place keep myself and my clients safe and healthy. During the time I was closed, I needed a creative outlet so I planned a little DIY maternity photoshoot with husband Kyle and our dog Maki. Generally I suggest waiting until week 30-34 for maternity photos, but these were done at week 29 because I was desperately in need of a quarantine project!

Our quarantine project

This shoot took teamwork + a tripod + dog treats + my husband's awesome camera skills! We are so excited to meet our baby girl in July! Maki our labradoodle has no idea what she’s in for!

This is us

This one bellow is one of my favorites because it was so us during quarantine! My giggles and baby bump with Kyle's quarantine hair and quarantine delayed dental surgery! It has been really hard to be pregnant with my first baby during a worldwide pandemic. I really miss the closeness and support of family and friends. But I am thankful that the quarantine gave my husband and I lots of quality time to spend together before meeting our baby girl!
